The Surly Pugsley is a distinctive bicycle. Most noticeable
are the massive black 4" wide Endomorph tyres nestling
snugly on 70 mm wide Large Marge rims. It's natural habitats
are the cold frozen wastes of the Arctic north, namely
Alaska, and the hot baking deserts of North America. Strangely,
a breeding pair have been recorded on the beaches of East
Lothian in Scotland. Which just goes to show! Pugsley riders
come from all walks of life but tend to be a bit different,
some say, even a wee bit eccentric. Often they are seen
riding their trusty Pugsley in all weathers throughout the
year, come snow or shine, spring tide or flood. They are
often found huddled behind a rock drinking down copious
amount of coffee with accompanying slabs of chocolate. So,
be careful out there, should you see a strange bicycle on
the beach, down in the woods, or floating down a river, it
might just be a Surly Pugsley.
